Candy Claws - Glacier Prey

i've been a fan of Candy Claws for a few months, but their new ep, Glacier Prety is the best i have heard yet from them. very dreamy, washed-out sound mixed with some really catchy melodies, with a bit of an ambient feel - but not so much that it's boring. check out "Don't Turn Around" below, and download their new ep for free @ their last.fm.

Guards - Guards EP

it's pretty rare that you find a band which actually transcends any genre classification. a new, relatively unheard of group called Guards is not such a band, but it comes pretty damn close. i can hear a bit of surf rock in the opening track, Resolution of One, from their first EP, but naming genres gets tricky after that. have a listen for yourself, since the EP is completely free to download from their bandcamp website.
